We are aware that our business activities also have a negative impact on the environment. We therefore strive to conserve resources and keep emissions low in our operations. This includes the gradual reduction of avoidable emissions, in particular through conscious energy consumption and business travel.
We also firmly believe that we can only overcome the challenges of the times and achieve long-term success with dedicated employees. We have set ourselves the goal of promoting their well-being and providing healthcare services. In doing so, we are committed to a non-discriminatory working environment and equal opportunities. We foster the health of our employees and ensure a good work–life balance.
Our aim is to create added value for society through our services. We specifically support social, cultural and environmental projects, as well as regional charitable initiatives and foundations. In addition, we also enable our employees to volunteer in charitable projects. Overall, numerous activities were initiated last year by the companies of the Warburg Group and their employees that go far beyond corporate interests.
To fulfill the responsibility for an inclusive work environment, the Diversity Working Group was established. Its goal is to give a voice to the topics of inclusion and diversity from the employees' perspective. The voluntary members organize themselves and independently choose their projects, one of which was the successful facilitation of the signing of the Diversity Charter. This commitment obliges Warburg Bank to actively promote diversity and create a corporate culture that embodies equality of opportunity and respect as central values, fostering a respectful work environment.
