Access data and cookies

When you visit our Web pages, text files are used which are stored on your hard disk and which supply us with specific pieces of information. These are so-called cookies and super cookies (summarily called “cookies”). Storing them helps us to improve our digital offerings and facilitates your use of our website. The cookies we use cannot be linked to specific individuals. When a cookie is activated, an identification number is assigned to it. Your data is not linked to this identification number.
Most of the cookies we use are automatically deleted from your hard disk after the end of the browser session. In addition we also use cookies which remain on your hard disk. This allows the system to automatically recognize during future visits that you have visited us before and your preferred parameters and settings. These cookies are stored on your hard disk and are automatically deleted after a certain period of time.
You can prevent cookies from being stored by setting your browser to not accept cookies; however, we point out that in this case you might not be able to use our digital products and financial services (interference-free).

On-site targeting, retargeting, and conversion tracking

On the basis of our legitimate interests according to GDPR Art.6.1(f), cookies are used within our digital offering to collect data for the improvement of the digital offering. This data is not used to identify you personally but serves solely an evaluation of the user behaviour under a pseudonym.
For this purpose, we have integrated the Matomo component to this internet site. Matomo is an open-source software tool for the gathering, collection and evaluation of data related to the behaviour of visitors to internet sites, which enable us to understand the origin of the visitors and clicks and are used by us for the optimisation of the internet site and for cost-benefit analysis of internet advertising.
In the context of this technical process, we gain knowledge of personal data, like the IP address of the person concerned, which serves, among other things, to help us understand the origin of the visitor and the clicks.
Matomo places a cookie in the IT system of the person concerned. Via the cookie, personal information like the access time, the location of the outgoing access, and the frequency of the visits to our internet site are stored. For each visit to our internet site, this personal data, including the IP address of the internet connection used by the person concerned, is transferred to our server and stored. We do not pass on this personal data to third parties.
As already mentioned, the person concerned can, at any time, prevent and thus permanently reject the placement of cookies by activating the relevant settings of the internet browser used. Such internet browser settings would also prevent Matomo from placing a cookie on the IT system of the person concerned. Additionally a cookie previously placed by Matomo can be deleted at any time via an internet browser or other software programme.
Furthermore, the person concerned has the option to reject and prevent the recording of data related to the use of this internet site generated by Matomo. To do so, the person concerned must activate the “Do Not Track” setting within the browser.
With the setting of the opt-out cookies, however, there is a possibility that the internet sites of the Data Controller may no longer be fully usable by the person concerned.
Further information and the relevant data protection provisions of Matomo can be accessed under: https://matomo.org/privacy/
